Therapy Dolls
The Power of Reborns
While attending a doll show, a customer approached me with her mother who was suffering from Alzheimer's. Her mother was unable to express herself verbally. The daughter and I watched in awe as her mother held one of the reborn dolls and began to cradle and speak to the doll. It was amazing to see the joy on the daughter's face and to understand the power that the dolls hold to reignite memories and emotions deep in the brain.
